Yep, can be tricky. Need two 45 degree angle cuts. My advice one side first make the 45. if the other end is flat measure cut put, repeat for the other side. Best with a miter box, however circular can work with a speed square. If you have a lot of angles can always measure the length of the angle cut to calculate the proper distance.
