Moribana or Nageirebana : The artistic way of arranging flowers...
Hi my dear Friends.... Today I was just searching for the different ways of arranging flowers in Google, which is commonly known as 'Ikebana'... But to my surprise, from Wikipedia, I found that there are so many Japanese ways of arranging flowers with different names!!
Actually Ikebana means - A disciplined as well as artistic way of arranging living flowers.... (not the dried ones).
Here Ike means arrangement. Bana or Hana means flower.
Moribana is a classic style of arranging flowers!
It is a way of arranging flowers in a neat and tidy way. (piled up flowers).
Nageirebana is another style of arranging where the flowers are simply thrown in a container!!
Nageire means Thrown in... :)
There may be still more styles of arranging flowers with yet different names! Who knows??
But here I am today with my own way of arranging flowers, especially a green plant just like Thulsi (but it's not Thulsi and I don't know it's English name). This plant is there everywhere in my Garden. It gives a bunch of green colored flower which remains on the plant nearly for a month. This flower has got a good aroma and is also mosquito repellent!!
So I always like to arrange it in a traditional way, in our living room.... I have plucked a small stem of Jasmine too which is about to bloom within an hour from now!!
So a perfect combination of green and white, (Hoping to be a good sign of Fengshui), and what can I name this??
Ikebana or Moribana or Nageirebana???
This can be treated as my contribution for today's colorchallenge by @kalemandra.... :), Thursday Green!
Above particulars about Ikebana and other flower arrangement styles are from Wikipedia..
Wishing you all a great future, With much love, @geetharao....
