Honduras Election Results

in #life7 years ago

Like I told you the current president was re elected, in a vote count which everyone knows was a farce, but you see the problem isn't the crooked people who do this kinds of shit, it's the idiots who do vote for them that make it possible for these things to happen. If nobody had voted for him we wouldn't have this problem, but you see there are always people who do benefit from these types of governments so they vote for them, or how do you think Maduro can still be in power? He was actually voted in, people voted for him, the opposition said the elections were a fraud but there he is. If he had gotten 1,000 votes he wouldn't be there.

Now what is the matter here? I will tell you what exactly, people are scared to death of Honduras becoming a left wing, supposedly socialist country like Venezuela, they are fed a daily amount of horror stories about life in a socialist place. Now let's look at this objectively, we have never been governed by a left wing government, not even close, we have always been the US' closest ally in Latin America, whether we wanted to be or not, yet somehow during all this supposedly free market reign, we have always held the title of being the poorest country in Latin America, except of course if you include Haiti, which as everyone knows and was made known to everyone by one of those US preachers is poor because they made a pact with the devil. So let's get that straight, yesterday @everittdmickey told me the further right a country is the smaller it's government will be, so according to this point of view we have steadily become a left wing country, which frankly is a load of crap, what we are is a country completely ruled by an elite who controls everything, exactly like Venezuela, doesn't it seem strange to you that there are a couple of billionaires in Venezuela who are still there? If they didn't like it they could be living in any country they chose.

So, no this is not a left wing right wing dichotomy, what we have is groups of people who take advantage of how dumb people really are and manage to nearly control all of the country's wealth, in our case by pointing out that if we vote against the right wing president we will become like Venezuela, and people don't want that which if you come to think of it, is quite surprising because actually Venezuela is better off than we are. Just think about this, Venezuelan's can actually use Crypto currency, in Honduras you can buy exactly nothing with it. So where do you think the banks have a bigger say in things?

This just reinforces my view that any political ideology is just a lot of crap, democracy, communism, socialism, anarchy all of them are in reality just designs for a few to take what should belong to everyone.

As for last night I have not heard about anything happening but we will see how things develop, I think we are in for a very difficult period, we are now at the point where tension is very intense, friendships have been broken and there is a lot of hate in the environment. Now you can say that I am just pissed off because the person I voted for didn't win, actually the problem is the person who won was not allowed by law to run for the presidency, for a president to seek re election in Honduras is actually a crime according to our constitution.

Ok, I was wrong two policemen were killed in a shoot out in Olancho department, which is the largest department in size and is like the wild west, everyone there uses a weapon so this is not surprising. I don't know who killed them, if it was people breaking the curfew, criminals or whomever, this is getting out of hand.
