Current Situation in Honduras

in #life7 years ago

Well last night we were hit with a curfew that started at 11:00 pm till 6:00 am this morning and from today for ten days it will be from 6:00 pm till 6:00 am. The problem is that it is not only a curfew it is a complete repeal of all constitutional rights during those hours, better said if you have an emergency and you really have to go out, say a neighbor phones asking for some kind of help, if a policeman or soldier sees you on the street he can shoot to kill and that's that, no problem, your mistake.

Now I have read a lot about Venezuela having problems like this, but that is a left wing socialist shit hole supposedly, we are a right wing peace loving, business friendly country, so why the hell do you take these measures? Because the people were really protesting, so as an excuse yesterday there was a lot of looting, I guess people who loot are most probably already thieves, but this is what was used as a pretext for this curfew.

The sad part is I hear all people condemning Venezuela but this has happened twice in Honduras during the last 8 years and nothing much is said. Is somebody being kind of Hypocritical here? Of course, it is the press, foreign governments, and of course big business.

Now we are going to have a long time ahead of us with problems on the streets, probably a decrease in any sort of investments in the country, an exodus of people to the US, better said we are going to be a right wing Venezuela, only problem is Venezuela has oil and gas, all we have are bananas and coffee.

So expect to see me writing a lot of articles here on Steemit trying to make some money because this country is going to be very fucked up next year, if as I predict the current president remains as such.

See this picture this guy is stealing a mattress and yet gets away with it, why didn't the police stop him? My reasoning is that this is what the government wanted to use as an excuse for imposing the curfew.

Do you see any cops here? But they have already killed at least 5 protesters and gassed thousands of people.

Sort:

all we have are bananas and coffee
I thought you had cigars too.

You keep saying right wing...why is that?.

We have great cigars Everitt, probably some of the best in the world, we also have melons, watermelons, pineapples, some minerals, but they are only a small percentage of what we export the bulk is made up of bananas and coffee, and the clothing that is made in what you could call sweat shops, but frankly these are not really exports as the materials are not made here the product is just finished here.

Well he says he is right wing, foreign governments consider him right wing, all the press also agrees with that, so I can't call him much else, now if you ask me what I think he is, I would just consider him a fascist.

fascist is left wing.

No fascism is big money (elites) colluded with the government and the military. You can call it right left or whatever you want, although I don't think there is anything left wing about people who have a lot of money.

Pooor WWII italy...no big money there.

Wikipedia:
Fascism /ˈfæʃɪzəm/ is a form of radical authoritarian nationalism,[1][2] characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition and control of industry and commerce[3] that came to prominence in early 20th-century Europe.[4] The first fascist movements emerged in Italy during World War I before it spread to other European countries.[4] Opposed to liberalism, Marxism and anarchism, fascism is usually placed on the far-right within the traditional left–right spectrum.[5][6][7][4][8][9]

Giovanni Agnelli, (born Aug. 13, 1866, Villar Perosa, Piedmont, Italy—died Dec. 16, 1945, Turin), founder of the Fiat (Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino) automobile company and the leading Italian industrialist of the first half of the 20th century.

A supporter of Benito Mussolini, he was named to the Senate by the Fascist dictator in 1923.

Opposed to liberalism, Marxism and anarchism, fascism is usually placed on the far-right within the traditional left–right spectrum
that parts wrong.
jeffersonian liberalism (not the frauds we have today who hijacked the word) is close kin to anarchy..

put it this way...left right spectrum. ON the far left is a complete totaltarian state. absolute control of everything you think and do.
on the right is no state at all. no controls...none.

everything is in the middle..somewhere on that spectrum (if you accept the left-right spectrum)...the further left..the less freedom...the further right..the more freedom

by the way..capitalism is an ECONOMIC system.
all the others are political ideologies.

So anarchists are really far right in your view?
