A Hard Day
This is not a current picture but this is close to where I was stranded only today there was more water.
Well this hasn't been a good day for me, it was so bad I haven't even checked how crypto is doing. Well it started out normally, I did my normal outing then I had to purchase an airline ticket for a friend had to go to the bank, came back home, and then go visit my body who comes every month to a sort of fair that is held here were people sell their wares.
Well my buddy sells fruit wines, he brings a couple dozen bottles sets them up on a table which is located under a stall, about four tables per stall, these stalls are like canopies with a metal structure, welded metal tubes and over this a very large canvas tarp.
Well we were just talking, not selling anything when all of a sudden this really huge rainstorm hit, I mean everything was ankle deep in water in minutes and the tarps started collecting water, we freed our tarp from the water twice but somehow we forgot about it, at some moment that tarp must have had a ton of water on it and the welding on one of the tubes snapped, that tube passed about one inch from my face, as I have said many times I am completely bald if that tube had hit my head we would be talking about a major gash maybe a life threatening gash (OK this is just in case someone wants to give me a drama token) but the funny thing is all of these things broke, fell, the tarp along with it, and not a single of my friend's wine bottles was broken, hell they didn't even turn over. So we have two miracles there, I didn't get the damned smash on my head and somehow no bottles were broken.
My friend he is from out of town he has to take a bus to go home so I told him you'd better leave this can't be a good omen I don't think you're going to sell anything. He agreed so we just packed all he brought and I went to look for a taxi to take me home and him to the bus station. I don't drive, I can barely make it on a bicycle. Anyway it is raining hard and I walked out to the paved street which had a lot of traffic all of it splashing water on me because the street was looking like a river. Well no taxi would stop, even one asshole gave me the finger, I mean I was soaking wet and this guy just did that, the worse thing is it was raining so hard I couldn't even see the number, because if I find that cab and the driver is smaller than I, I would positively beat the shit out of him.
So I got no taxi, my worry was for my friend because buses to his town stop going at a certain hour, luckily some lady came via taxi and this guy was willing to take him to the terminal along with two other ladies. I was so wet I decided to walk home because I was pissed off and figured the water would cool me off, but you know when I was less than a block from home a taxi stopped to ask if I needed his services, luckily there were no stones nearby. Damn what a shit day, but now I am warm and calm and cool and am no longer angry I think.
So, how was your day?
Wow! That is some real flood weather. What part of La Ceiba is this?
