Solar Air Heating....What? SAVING $$$$ on Heating Costs!

in #life7 years ago

I love seeing new innovative ways to provide a solution to heating especially here in Canada, where it can get bitter cold. Come take a look at this cool concept in heating, and tell me what you think.

The sun sends enough energy to Earth in an hour to meet all the Earth's energy needs for a whole year!
Contrary to popular belief, the winter sun is very powerful and generates large amounts of heat. The solar air heaters take advantage of this advantage in an optimal way.

The complete air heater system usually details around $ 2,500 (Canadian) for a basic system.

After the solar hot air system is installed, no special maintenance is required. Cleaning the air intake filter is very easy if necessary

Conservatively, it can be calculated that the air heater will be able to provide 20-25% of the heating requirements in a space of 1000 sq.ft. For a high-energy residence.

I need to think about it too ... very good post!

Thank you

Preparing for the winter months is essential. They are a rest period in some ways but also a time to grow. This is a good avenue to explore and I will look for your conclusions.

Most interesting - I've never come across solar air heating before. Neat idea.

Are you going to get this installed at your homestead @gardengirlcanada?

I wonder if anyone is producing them in the UK?

I am thinking about it for greenhouse

Will be interested to hear how it goes. I wonder if it would work a 18ft x 42ft polytunnel?

Good post, Thanks for sharing

Sounds like it could pay for itself rather quickly.
