PS

Most people live to impress others, they do things to make their class and level look high. What most people don't realize is that life is not not a bed of roses. When you live a fake life, to others you have accomplished what you are faking which in real sense, you haven't gotten to half of the way. When you are in dare need of something you have faked to achieve in the past, no one will like to help you. I will drop a shirt real life story of a friend of mine who lived a fake life and regretted it.

When I was in university, I had a very close friend whose name I won't divulge for the sake of privacy. He lived a total fake life in school, he claimed to come from a rich family, calmed to be very intelligent, claimed to have gone to places which he has not even seen in pictures.

To cut the long story short, the aspect of coming from a rich family and travelling to places was easily detected by people because it was glaring on the way in dresses that he is not even close to average. Before it was detected he used to borrow clothes from people before coming to school. He stayed on campus, so anytime we are on summer, he goes home and returned with different kinds of clothe which he borrowed. He borrowed these clothes to impress people and package his fake life. He did this for a while and one day one of his friends at home came to visit him on Campus and noticed that he didn't take proper care of the clothe he borrowed him. This led to an argument between the both of them which led to his friend making of amount of clothes he had borrowed him which he misused and didn't return. From that day on, people confirmed that he was living a fake life but most people were not surprised because there have being suspicions before the day of argument with his friend. This led to great embarrassment for him in the school and he was even given a nickname.

That's not really the park of his fake life that made him learn his lessons. He claimed to be very intelligent and studious. Every time we want to read we call him to join us, because we read in group. Each time we call him, he tells us he already knows what we want to read and has no problem reading it again. Each time results come out he doesn't let us see his, he was secretive about his results. We all thought maybe he didn't want us to feel jealous about his results. He did this for 3 years. It got to a stage we didn't bother calling him to read with us since we already know his reply, he kept doing our thing. On the day we were supposed to receive our final results in school, he was not there. We searched for him everywhere but didn't see him. We collect led ours, most of us passed and some had one or two carry overs.

There weeks after, his parents came to school to pack his belongings, we were surprised so asked them. His parents told him to answer us, he told us that the main reason he was hiding his results from us was that he failed woefully and didn't know how to come out plain. He wasted three years in school, wasted his parents money and wasted his future. His parents said they will just leave him to start again when his mates are graduating.

PS

Fake life doesn't pay, it pushes helpers away from you. Try to live normal life. Be yourself, life is to short to fake it. No one ever lived a fake life and stayed to be happy about it. Every where we find ourselves, let's be ourselves, in school, church, mosque, place of work, even on steemit here, let's just be ourself.

Thanks for reading this. Drop your story too so wee can all learn from yours too.
