Stunning Wooden Cycle – Made In India

in #life6 years ago (edited)

Coimbatore-based PK Murugesan is a cycling enthusiast. When his regular bicycle was severely damaged in transit, he could not find a spare frame.

So he went ahead to modify his cycle and designed one out of engineered wood.

Except for parts like the tyres, wheel rims, handlebar, seat, gear assembly, front fork and crank assembly, the entire cycle now has wooden fitments, giving it a sturdy body that can withstand external impact.

Necessity is mother of inventions. Wooden cycle is indeed a novel approach, and it is great that Mr Murugesan thought about it and reduced it into practice.

Word of mouth and excellent social media traction led him to consider making a venture out of this novel concept.
