📺 Cool Series Suggestions Part 7: Supernatural! (English/German)

Hi Steemians, yes I know this is a very famous & mainstream series and I think many of you already watched it, but I want to present it anyways, because Supernatural is one of the best mystery series and maybe you still don´t know all seasons. In the moment there are 12 seasons and the axtension to the 13. season was announced this january. So if you still don´t know the series, you can be happy about many hours full of entertainment. :)

[German] Hi Steemianer, ja ich weiß, diese Serie ist sehr berühmt & mainstream und ich glaube viele von euch kennen sie schon, aber ich möchte sie trotzdem vorstellen, denn Supernatural ist eine der Mysteryserien und vielleicht kennst du noch nicht alle Staffeln. Im Moment gibt es 12 Staffeln und die Verlängerung auf die 13. Staffel wurde an diesem Januar bekannt gegeben. Falls man die Serie also noch nicht kennt, kann man sich auf viele Stunden voller Unterhaltung freuen. :)

What is the story of Supernatural?

The series Supernatural is about two brothers, Sam and Dean, who were raised by their father, John, to hunt and kill all things that go "bump in the night" after his wife, Mary, was murdered by something supernaturally evil when the boys were young. 22 years later the brothers set out on a journey, fighting evil along the way, to find their recently missing father who, when they finally meet up with, reveals he knows what killed their mother, a demon, and has found a way to track and kill it. Meanwhile, Sam starts to develop frightening abilities that include death visions, visions of people dying before it actually happens. These visions are somehow connected to the demon who murdered his mother and it's mysterious plans that seem to be all about Sam. When their father dies striking a deal with the very same devil that had killed his wife, the brothers, now alone and without their mentor..

[German] Worum geht es in Supernatural?

Sam (Jared Padalecki) und Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) sind zwei junge Brüder, die ein Ereignis, das vor 20 Jahren stattfand, zusammengeschweißt hat: Der Tod ihrer Mutter. In ihrem 67er Chevy Impala fahren sie kreuz und quer durch das Land und setzen das um, was sie von ihrem Vater gelernt haben: als Monsterjäger Dämonen, Geister und anderen Monster bekämpfen. Dabei steht auch die Suche nach jenem Dämon im Vordergrund, der seinerzeit den Tod ihrer Mutter herbeigeführt hat.

Während die anfänglichen Staffeln vor allem noch vom Monster of the week leben und die übergreifende Handlung nebenbei einfließt, entwickelt sich „Supernatural“ später in eine zusammenhängendere Richtung. Besonders mit der Einführung von Engeln, allen voran Castiel (Misha Collins), der den Brüdern zur Seite steht, richtet sich der Fokus der Serie immer mehr auf die Bekämpfung des Bösen im Allgemeinen als auf einzelne Fälle.
