Push Up Challenge Day 7

Hi Steemians, Day 7 of the 22 Push Up Challenge and today I will nominate @sneak! He told me to keep my elbows more in and I want to see how he is doing it. :) Today kept my elbows more in definitely @sneak. ;)

What is it about?

I was nominated for the 22 Push Up Challenge on Facebook and I started with it today. The challenge is for a good cause, to attract attention for people with posttraumatic stress disorder. The origin of the action is in the initiative "22Kill", advocating for war veterans in the United States. According to a study of the US Department, in the cut 22 veterans a day took their own lives in the United States in the year 2010. Many soldiers who were deployed in the Iraq war or Afghanistan, have to fight with the processing of their experiences even years later. Physicians speak of post-traumatic stress disorder in this context.

How does it works?

  • If you are nominated, you start at the next day and you are doing 22 Push-Ups for 22 days.

  • Record/photograph your series of 22 Push-Ups every day. Try to reach the 22 Push-Ups as good as possible. If necessary, are you doing them on your knees, or take a break. But try to film the 22 Push-Ups in a recording.

  • Every day you are nominating someone else. Try to choose people where you think that they want to do that or have the possibility to do it.

  • And finally: HAVE FUN

  • Und schließlich: HAVE FUN

Here I have uploaded my Facebook-Video for you again:

Thank you for thinking of me, and I will happily do 22 pushups with you.

I will not post about it, however, as I cannot in good conscience endorse your cause.

I will leave you with this quote from Herr Einstein, which nicely summarizes my thoughts on the matter of people who choose to actively participate in wars:

“He who joyfully marches to music rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice. This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, senseless brutality, deplorable love-of-country stance and all the loathsome nonsense that goes by the name of patriotism, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be part of so base an action! It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder.”

― Albert Einstein

Ok, very cool! 💪 And great quote! 👍

Thank you for posting @future24.

bleujay supports your cause.

Principle ...Freedom through Military Victory.

That is not to say that there are not those who have abused their power...however the principle is still true.

Apologies in advance as bleujay tries to correct the voting power....has now tried twice and will try once more.

All the best to you. Cheers.

Thank you for your support @bleujay! Yes, Freedom through military is not the right way.... People who was in wars and survived, often ended with post-traumatic stress disorder.
