The Lookup project issue#02 | "Escalators"
Hi fellow Steemians!
I'm back with my 2nd issue of my #lookupproject, for today I will be showing some of the interesting #escalators that I found in MRT stations.
I'm showing you these mundane things that we as humans normally pass-by on our way to our work, or probably on our way while traveling around. I always believe that there is beauty in everything, be it a common stairs or a walkway, sometimes we just need to look around.
This time my idea is to lookup to the escalators! Why escalators?
Simply because we almost never lookup to it, it is not comfortable, I myself would thought that I might fall behind when looking up while riding the escalator.
So, without further ado, the three escalators...
First stop, the Bugis st. MRT station. By the way, this station is one of the busiest here in Singapore, I'm lucky enough that there are nobody except for one, otherwise my photo will be messy :-)
Second stop, the Mattar MRT station. This one is newly built, about few months ago, that is why you can still see the gloss on the floor. There are no shopping malls around the area, that's why there are less people here compared to the other stations.
Third stop! The Nicholl highway MRT station. I took this photo while on my way to Kampong Glam / Arab st., this is not the closest mrt station to it. I just thought to alight here and walk another 15mins to take photos along the way.
And that's about it for my 2nd issue of my #lookupproject, I hope you enjoy reading about some of the mundane things on our everyday life, that might be interesting, you just need to #lookup.
Cheers!
So true, we pass those all the time and don’t really notice them. There are some really long ones in Washington D.C. and London, when you go down into the Metro and Underground. Great pictures!
that's a cool idea, i know there also long escalators here in Singapore. I will look for it and add to my collection. Thanks for your feedback, really appreciate it. :-)
I’ve never been to Singapore. My international travels have been mainly to Europe so far, but I would like to explore Asia someday. Thanks for sharing it’s beauty and architecture with us in your many posts and photos:)
Same here, I've been traveling around some parts of Asia, but never been to Europe or western part. Your posts & photos also encourage me to visit Europe, someday. I hope I can do it anytime soon, cheers! :-) Any recommendation from you? Which part of Europe to begin? Thanks
