Daily Thoughts - 04 Apr 18 - Homesteading Today...

Good Morning, Steemians! :D

We woke up to grey skies and snow this morning, oh joy, ugh. LOL. :D Unfortunately its going to become freezing rain soon, but hopefully this afternoon when it gets a bit warmer that freezing rain will be just rain and wash away the ice. :D

There’s never a shortage of puppies/grand-puppies willing to occupy my bed, our puppy Dakota (1) and three of our grand-puppies Lady (2), Mya (3), and Shadow (4) were all on the bed when my son and I came back in from doing chores. :D

It’s a miserable day outside, weather wise, so everyone’s staying inside the barn today. Princess (foreground) is throwing her hay on the floor in protest. Candy (center) is stealing some of the hay from the floor. Belle (background) is minding her own business and enjoying her oats. :D None of the pictures of the piglets I took this morning turned out, they were all blurry or looked like the piglets were in a blizzard that was turning into a white out. ☹ Hopefully tonight I’ll get some decent ones. :D

Dakota came to nap beside me this afternoon, so he could escape his children, LOL. :D

Karma was right behind him, apparently, she also needed a break from the kids. :D LOL. :D

Its been a rather quiet day on the homestead, not regarding noise level of course because of all the barking and singing the puppies and grand-puppies did, but regarding nothing eventful happening. I did the morning barn chores with my son, transferred a couple barrels of oats into feed bags so we could return the barrels to our farmer friend, watched some videos, did the dishes and laundry, made supper, did the evening barn chores, and wrote my posts. Its nice to have quiet days, even if they come with snow, freezing rain, rain, and no sunshine whatsoever. :D

We had penne for supper, yum. :D

There was no sunshine at all today so that means no sunset pictures to share tonight, sorry.
