Happy Women's Day

in #life6 years ago

Today, I want to celebrate two of my online friend who are women as we celebrate International Women's Day.I met them through social media in 2016 around the same time, but they both don't know each other. I can only hope to meet them in person someday. They are two ladies I admire a lot and I hope they inspire you.

Angelicah Nthenya Muteti

Agelicah is now 23 years of age and currently a part time student studying to be a teacher. She works with Nestle Kenya. She lost her father when she was pretty young and her mum remarried. New partners are often not that happy about accepting responsibilities of others, especially men and so, she was sent to live with her maternal grandparents.Life became tough as she and her junior brother were "ignored" by their mother. After high school, she had to start working as there was no way to fund her education but she never gave up. She's done a lot of menial jobs to get to where she is to be able to fund her teacher training. She is in her final year and today, she supports her junior brother and also her mum. As we celebrate women today, I celebrate this lady.

Qwnsta Diana Nyakio Njeru

I've known Qwnsta for awhile and she always motivate me never to give up when I go through difficulties. Qwnsta is a happy soul even though she has a lot of medical conditions that could have made her bitter. Qwnsta is asthmatic, and I don't really know the types of asthmas we have, but what I know is her own is serious and her inhaler is always close by. She is short sited and has to wear glasses often, which she hates. She just hates to depend on the glasses to see, so she doesn't wear them often. Another medical condition is, she is a breast cancer survivor. She was diagnosed in early 2018 and treated. And yet when you speak to her, you will think she has no problem in the world. She's just amazing in a special way.

These are people you might never hear of, but I think they deserve some recognition.
