Who does not love Vegas the city of lights where fortunes are made and sometimes broken ;) Vegas is the Entertainment Capital of the world.

The city is located in the state of Nevada. Las Vegas was founded on May-15-1905 and Incorporated on March-16-1911. The city is spread over 136 square miles.

The gambling was not always legal here. The state made it illegal on year 1910 and it was not until 1931 when Nevada state legalized it. Every year more than 40 millions people visit in Vegas.

Golden Gate Hotel is the oldest hotel and casino in Vegas which was opened in year 1906, a year after city was founded. There are around 130,000 hotels room in Vegas, so if you want to spend one day in each room you have to spend about 356 years in order to do so.

As per a study done in 2013, 15% visitors come to Vegas for gambling but 71% end up gambling anyway.

Bellagio hotel has 3,933 rooms which is more than the number of residents in Bellagio, Italy.

The white circles around the letters of the word ‘welcome’ on the Las Vegas sign are supposed to portray silver dollars, because Nevada is known as The Silver State.
