I Have To Get This Off My Chest

Somewhere between homophobia and a demand for special treatment as if it were a right lies the truth. We really, really need to try to meet at that middle ground because too many people are dying over lies.

Gender dysphoria is not NORMAL. Demanding we pretend it is normal is NOT HELPING ANYONE. We need to understand the impact that gender bending chemicals in our environment are having on the people we love. It is a tragic irony that your average "environmentalist" will cry "homophobe" at people who try to bring up this issue.

"Love the sinner, hate the sin." Too many people hate the person who suffers from this condition. That does not help, it makes things worse. Every human gets confused about things, none of us have ALL the right answers about life. This is an incredibly tragic thing to be confused about, we need to offer these people compassion and understanding. However, trying to pretend it is normal is not helping either, the suicide rate will confirm that.

When I suffered suicidal thoughts, no one tried to tell me that was "normal." I suspect if every adult human were to be totally honest, most of them would admit that the thought had crossed their mind at some point. That does not make it a "normal" way to exist. The same is true for gender dsyphoria. Helping people cope with a body, mind, spirit that is not "normal" is the loving thing to do. Pretending it is normal leaves them further tormented in their heart and mind. If they were to be totally honest, I doubt any of them would say they felt "normal." They may feel like they are more authentically themselves, they may feel like they have been freed from living some lie, but I doubt they would say "Yes, this is a normal human experience."

If you jump off a cliff, it would be normal to break your leg. Do you want a cast, or do you want people to politely pretend they do not notice that you now have two left knees? Would being assured that is "normal" help you heal?

"Love the sinner, hate the sin." Now, I am quoting Biblical wisdom and some folks get knickers in a knot over the blunt words used, so lets define two terms:
"Sinner" = human. If you disagree, please provide evidence.
"Sin" = behavior that harms a human, including (especially?) one's self. If you can improve on that, please comment.

These are our children, and they are suffering the consequences of bad decisions made by us and our elders. We need to hate this sin by shining the light of love on it. Stop whining about the divide and conquer talking points of "global warming" and start demanding the food supply be cleaned up. Stop teaching our children it is normal to be confused about their sexuality and do something about THIS:

Yes, there is a certain percentage of people born with their hormones and anatomy wires crossed, history and biology concur. However, the rate of gender dysphoria is blowing up, it would be called an epidemic if we were not so busy trying to pretend it was normal. It is not normal, and pretending it is serves only to protect the corporations that are poisoning us. It is NOT saving our children.

A friend from kindergarten posted an obituary on facebook yesterday. I have not seen her since sixth grade, she found me on fb a few years ago. The obit was her "nephew" who was 18. There was no facial hair or Adam's apple visible in the photo. No cause of death was listed. In lieu of flowers, donations were to be made to some transgender rights group. The survivor's list began (fictitious names inserted but you will get the point) with "parents" (not mother and father) listed as Susan (William) Johnson and Fred (Anne) Johnson.

How do we help people who hate us for saying we think they deserve better than parades? If we seek to prevent and cure cancer, does that mean we hate people who have cancer? I CANNOT PUT THIS ON FACEBOOK because people I love would be horrified by this, and I sit here with nothing but love in my heart for them.
