Jesus Paid It All

After this, Jesus, knowing that all things had already been accomplished, to fulfill the Scripture, said, “I am thirsty.” A jar full of sour wine was standing there; so they put a sponge full of the sour wine upon a branch of hyssop and brought it up to His mouth. Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.
John 19:28-30 New American Standard Bible

This Good Friday, let’s take time to remember how Jesus bore the full judgment for our sins on the cross, and made us righteous and completely accepted before God. Let Him fill your heart with such peace and rest as you remember His perfect sacrifice. And know that if God did not spare His very own Son, but gave Him up for us. Without Jesus, it is very impossible for us to connect with God again because of sin. Jesus took away all our sins and has PAID IN FULL by his death, and that was the fulfillment of it all, that is why Jesus said, “tetelestai” or “it is finished”. God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.

If we understand the magnitude of our sins, we’ll understand the magnitude of God’s love.
