Stand Up To Cancer - Raising money for a great cause
Here in the UK we have a annual fundraising event called Stand Up For Cancer. People from all around the country find ways to raise money in order to help fund vital research and speed up the progressing life-saving treatment against cancer.
We raised over £1500
When asked if I would like to go to a Halloween party in aid of Stand Up To Cancer I did not hesitate and quickly sourced a costume for the event.
Set at a venue close to where I live, we embarked on a night of fun, frolic’s and frightening fund raising. They where some amazing costumes and we met some fantastic people along the way.
Being entertained by live band’s and raffle draws, to costume competitions and a photo both we had the ingredients for a great night and managed to raise a little over £1500 in the process.
Yes that is me as Elvis!
”Thank you very much”
The King has entered the building. So I decided (as a big Elvis fan) that I would go as the king of Rock n Roll. I got a replica of his iconic, patriotic, eagle jump suit and opted for a rubber half mask in which I got stuck in due to heavy duty, double sided tape.
