Thermo-Sensitive Sweaters Change Color Depending on the Weather
This year, tree leaves will not be the only thing that changes color in autumn, as Stone Island's heat-sensitive sweaters will change color.
The high-end Italian brand has manufactured an unconventional fabric for these jackets, whose color varies depending on the temperature of the atmosphere.
The Ice Knit range is designed with two layers of heat-sensitive wool, so that the exterior color changes when exposed to cold, while the inner layer is made of pure wool.
When exposed to cold heat the color of the thermochromic pigments is changed, and the color returns to normal after the natural heat returns. The result is to turn the colors of the jacket into an impressive three-dimensional effect.
There are currently three different styles of color combinations to choose from, namely yellow to orange, emerald to military green, and ivory to dark gray.
Sensitive clothing is nothing new. During the 1990s, a company called HyperColor was interested in creating t-shirts that change color and become colorless when exposed from cold to warm temperatures, but they interact only with body temperature, not environmental heat, but this company unfortunately did not keep up Demand has gone bankrupt after only one year in business.

Thanks for introducing me to this concept. Is it just for show and fun, or does the color change have some type of benefit for who is wearing it? Seems pretty expensive, I could buy a lot of shirts of different colors, so what's the value add?
