Making a Halloween Pumpkin Princess Costume
Hello everyone :)
Today's art project is inspired by Halloween. We had a costume making day and then we went "trick or treating" around neighborhood. Emily's costume was turning heads on the street and I loved how happy she was! We had a great adventure and hand making it was a lot of fun!
We started by making a frame from a laundry basket and then created a princes dress to wear on top. We used some scraps of materials that I got as a gift from a friend. It is such a good way to recycle. We did not have any template and just made it up as we went. I like to make things this way because you never know how it is going to look when you finish :)
I feel it is more creative that way. I must admit that it drives my husband mad, because he likes to plan and have proper measurements and drawings on hand. I think it is one of the reasons we complement each other.
Today my daughter decided she wants to dress as a pumpkin but we had that dress already made so we settled on her being a pumpkin princess :) I hope that explains her orange face. We also tried to do her make up so she looks a little scary ;) We also did daddy's make up but he did not give permission to include photos.
Hope you enjoy it :)
She just looks too cute and I must say you got some skills in making a costume!
Thank you! I enjoyed this project :)
Very sweet! :) Gorgeous princess!
Thank you :)
