The golden age of islam

These 6 things were invented by Muslim scientists but sadly I have never been taught this in school or university.

1: Coffee

Coffee was invented by an Arab/Ethiopian named Khalid who was tending his goats in the Kaffa region of southern Ethiopia, when he noticed his animals became livelier after eating a certain berry. Thus coffee was born and later was spread to the middle east.

In the 10th-century Muslim mathematician, astronomer and physicist Ibn al-Haitham discovered the camera technology by noticing the way light came through a hole in window shutters. The word camera comes from the arabic word qamara which mean “a private room”.

3: Alchemy

Al-khwarizmi invented algorithms which has changed the world and is the fundamental building blocks of modern computers.

5: Alcohol

Alcohol the world literally comes from Arabic, it was invented by Muslim scientists and Persian scientists later mastered distillation, which was introduced to Europe in the 12th century by various European authors who translated and popularized the discoveries of the Muslim world.

6: Medicine

Ibn sina was the father of medicine and also the author of one of the greatest books ‘the canon of medicine’ which is still read.
