Various opportunities and obstacles arise in farming in accordance with the local socio-economic environment so that the development of farmer groups into a much larger organization. Some farmer groups joined the farmers' group (Gapoktan).

Merger in Gapoktan is mainly carried out by farmer groups that are in one area of Government administration to collectively cooperate together. Gapoktan's working area is as much as possible in the village / sub-district administration area.
