Yep, that's me driving a Lamborghini Gallardo. A track day was kindly organised as a birthday present from my lovely wife. Good in that I got to sample the "cream of the crop" of the automotive world. Bad in that each driving experience came with an annoying "instructor" who seemed to crap his pants on every turn. In the image, you can see his bloody arm showing me where to drive (as if I can't work that out for myself)! When in actual fact, he himself was proving to be more of a "distraction" than anything else.
Anyways, I got to drive an Aston Martin DB8, Audi R8 and another of my "dream" cars, a Porsche 911 GT3. Heck of a day overall. Another sucky part was not being able to take one of them home with me, lol. But hey, gives us all something to strive towards in the future, right? I would most certainly recommend these track days out to anyone. Especially if you're a car enthusiast like I am. An interesting thing I observed were the vehicles parked up in the outside car park. I saw Ferrarri's, M3's, R8's, even a few other Lambo's. I mean, I assumed the people who'd come here were those wishing to even "sit" in a super car let alone drive one!
But at the end of the day, the punters were showboating just as much as the cars on the track. A memorable time through and through. If ever I get to owning one, it'll be a humongous lifelong goal ticked off the list. Come on, crypto, damn you! You can do it!!! :)
