A Bank Holiday Monday "Summer Soak-up"
Another heatwave and people are out in their droves.
This photo is of my local hangout by the name of Gladstone Park. Not sure if the gradient is immediately observable at first glance, but this spot is at the top of a hill. It fact, the area itself is called Dollis Hill. It gives you an almost 360 degree panoramic viewpoint of a large part of North West London. Look closely at the vast landscape in the background and you'll get some idea of what I mean. I had to wait a while until no passersby were in the shot, lol. As I mentioned, the area itself is not a bad place per se. I've spent many a sunny afternoon, throughout my life, chilling out here and always look back with fond memories
They also have a sizeable tennis area where you can choose a court and get some exercise in as well. The prices aren't too bad either. In addition, there are numerous old, vintage pictures of people being transported on the beaten pathways via horse and carriage in this park. Yes, it is "that" old. Everyone who is familiar with this part of London will instantly know this park. Because of the dense, packed nature of houses and buildings, parks in London are considered something of a national treasure here. Especially when the weather is as gorgeous at it is today.
My only concern is how long this magical spell can last, lol! Oh well, make the most of now, I guess... :)
what a nice view! This green of this time of year is so beautiful!
Thanks, @bkdbkd! Hope next time you come over, I can show you the very same spot I took this. Have a great day! :)
I really agree with your words, it's an great place for the exercises, jogging and walking. Also people can prefer some kind of meditation stuff here, the great thing about this place is, awesome natural beauty with great greenery essence, and that freshness and shine of that greenery literally reflecting the healing effect. Thanks for sharing and wishing you an great day. Stay blessed. 🙂
Thanks, bud. In fact, I saw a group of people chilling and meditating out here too. Perfect weather for it... :)

Nice one, bud. Thanks... :)
Always welcome.
Didn't you fancy a trip to the beach then @ezzy! 😊
We left the hoards behind and went inland, only to discover more hoards there! 😂
Lol! Is there any escape from the swarm that is "people"! :)
Not on a Bank Holiday @ezzy but I always manage to forget that and each time it comes as a big surprise! 😂
You took the photograph at the perfect time. Looks like there is a little steepness to this shot. You have a nice view overlooking everything. 🐓🐓
I love the view. Really took me back! Thanks for commenting... :)
The park reminds me of my college days, there was a park that looked just like this, where we used to hang out in the evening time as the sun is setting. The tone of the colours of the grass changes and the atmosphere comes alive more
Defo, I also love rekindling attached memories when within these glorious surroundings. Can truly relate, bud. :)
This place is the nature of beauty.
Thanks for introducing this location.
@resteem & follow done.
Beautiful and serene. Just how I like it... :)
