Ginger Beer (extract)
This is something my grandma has always made since I was a kid. Whether you are feeling under the weather or in good spirits, it’s always good to have a little ginger beer. The recipe is quite simple and doesn’t take long to prepare at all. I hope you can all enjoy it.
Ingredients:
-raw ginger root...that’s it!
Steps:
-first chop (like I used to) or blend the ginger with a bit of water
-add chopped ginger to a pot for boiling, add as much water as you want to prepare
-bring it to a boil and cut the heat as soon as it starts to boil
-leave it out overnight in the pot with a cover on it
-strain and bottle (preferably in glass)
-store in the refrigerator
You can drink this straight if you like a strong kick. I like to mix it with orange juice, or a glass of water. Works great as a tea if you add a bit to some hot water and honey when feeling ill.
Raw ginger has tons of health benefits. It has been known to help with reducing:
-nausea
-infections
-may improve brain function
-cholesterol
-menstrual pain
And many more...
Hope you all enjoy! Be well, live happy and healthy!
