A big batch of Noodles with chicken and a lot of vegetables in a wok sauce!

in #life6 years ago

Nobody could see the invisible vegetables yesterday so today I decided to make up for it :)

Bianca is studying hard for a Dutch test on Friday so I'll probably be cooking the rest of the week.

I don't mind. I like cooking and hopefully I will get some grill sessions in too.

Today I decided to make a huge batch of Noodles with chicken and a lot of vegetables.

Both for dinner and lunch tomorrow.

I decided to wok everything in batches and combine everything at the very end.

It worked very well!

Let's cook!

Ingredients: Noodles, 4 chicken breasts, 2 red onions, 2 bell peppers, 1 red pepper, garlic, leak, wok sauce.

Because everything happens so fast while using a wok I like to prep everything.

First the chicken. I did it in two batches. If I dump in everything at once the wok will cool too much. (My heat source is not sufficient enough). I use metal trays to store the chicken temporarily.

While frying the chicken I cooked the Noodles for 5 minutes and drained them with cold water after. It prevents them from cooking further and you can use them later with ease.

I cleaned the wok and then it was time for the vegetables. Red onion first, then the leak, then the bells peppers. Not long, just 2 minutes to fry and warm them up. I also put them in a tray after.

Time to wok for real! Oil in, garlic and red pepper and then the chicken straight after.

Not much later the vegetables and the wok sauce.

And lastly the noodles.

End result: Now that was tasty and healthy! I like this method for a big batch of noodles. Taste wise it could have done with a little bit more heat but overall pretty darn good!

Mark @exyle Yes Healthy because You Cooked it yourself and you know your Ingredients............ I am a little jealous since you Probably Have all NON GMO in Europe.................

Damn! You so know how to make me salivate. This is how you get to know a person who has taken cooking as a hobby. Look how you took your time ti prepare this with all the garnishings and stuff.

Well thanks for this recipe. Just got back from work and can still head to the market. Am so preparing this tonight. Ama try to do it just like you did. I just hope i get it right. Lolzz

@exyle, why have you chose to make this way!?
Mehn, am down for this delicacy!

I cooked the Noodles for 5 minutes and drained them with cold water after. It prevents them from cooking further and you can use them later with ease.

I just learned a very vital step up there..
I don't always drain at all, then it becomes uneasy when am ready to use the noodles later.
Thanks to the master chef himself.

Imagine this recipe with ginger and a little honey, I'm too eager to try it.

What most caught my attention was the photograph of Mise en place, I loved it.

Ginger would work I recon! I like to prep from time to time. It's relaxing.

Interesting trick with the chicken @exyle I do love noodles but these type of dishes they are so nice and today you managed with no invisible vegetables lol also good luck to Bianca with her Dutch test.

We love our veggies done in the wok. Nice and crisp and not soggy. Did you make your own wok sauce or is it bottled? I sometimes make mine because I don't like the chemicals that are added to preserve the sauce.

I do both. This time it was from a bottle.
