INDOLENCE AND SLUGGISHNESS

Hi Guys..i have been thinking about a lot of things.Well..looking at a friend who i have been trying to get into steemit got me thinking about indolence and sluggishness. And i will like talk to about it.
Indolence is kinda laziness. you just want to sit around lazing all day, doing absolutely nothing profitable.Another name is sluggard, a rather ancient sounding name..right? Let me take sometime to describe one.

He or She dislike work. (S)he doesn't stay on a task without constant supervision, prodding or extra motivation. (s)he enjoys perpetual rest even when there is no evidence of work already done to justify such rest.

A sluggard is sluggish in everything (s)he does. Full of excuses and never finishes a work at hand.(s)he always has a reason not to embark on a profitable venture that is available because of the seemingly difficulties that lies ahead. A sluggard looks for reasons not to go an extra mile to get result because of laziness.
The disheartening thing is that a lot of people slip into sluggishness or indolence without even realizing it. But i will like to give some Antidotes to indolence & sluggishness.

  1. Consider where you are: Consider your state,financially, socially, and physically. if you will like to be better or in a better place ,then think deeply and realize you are not at your best.
  2. Find out the reason of your indolence: Once you discover what triggers the sluggishness, avoid them or it. For some people, eating ICE CREAM AND BURGER at night makes them feel lazy and tired(my humble self, for instance) in the morning,For some people watching late night movies makes them want to sleep all day. For others, certain friends are the reason they do not take anything seriously. so identify the reason and avoid it completely.
  3. Then you need to be decisive & focused: decide to pull out of that seemingly comfort zone. no matter what you have or where you are, there is a better place and opportunity. counsel and motive yourself to break away from the habit of indolence and find something to do. Being focused will help you overcome avoidable distractions. and then plan your line of action. a list of to-dos always helps keep you on track. So make one and be diligent to follow it.
    Finally....and this is from the bottom of my heart. Close your eyes and dream of that place where you really long and dream to be. And one day with hard-work and diligence,YOU will be there ..sipping a cold glass of drink and enjoying a well deserved lazy moment.
