VERY Remote Learning...

in #life4 years ago

While choosing my classes for Fall 2020, I noticed a strange occurance from the staff. Now, I don't know about you, but this pandemic has ensured that I have NO plans to take courses on campus this year.

The hard sell

We're seeing numerous attempts by advisors and instructors to convince students to sign up for in-person classes. What astounds me is that any of the instructors plan on being in front of students at all! I'd assumed everything would be online in the interests of safety for all.

They'd have to give me my own special bubble and a biohazard suit, in order for me to even think about it. If this were Fall 2021 and things had improved? Maybe.

I don't know what they're paying these people, a hazard bonus for coming in? However, folks are already walking around without masks on as if this whole thing is over. Imagine being cooped up with seemingly invincible kids in classrooms without windows that can open. Having to rely on a fauty air system, that is likely to pass contaminated air from one room to another. I think I'll take my courses online and that that should be the default nationwide. What do you think?

Thank you so much!
