It is amazing the amount of trauma children endure. One can only imagine what your parents went through in their lifetimes to be in the place of treating you and your brother in such a manner. It's enough to be incredibly angry about, and at the same time have so much pity and sadness for the horrible things they have likely been through.

The photos of your dad are really frightening, I can't even imagine living the terror of his ways while simply viewing these images. People REALLY need to have help with parenting. Raising children is the most important responsibility on the planet, yet it gets so little attention and so little support. If we are to make strides to a healthier, happier and more joyful life experience, we need to address the core issues we carry deep inside.
