Hi everyone here, this evening what i would like to talk about is [Respect Your Peoples Traditional And Ideas].
and some of you would be wondering why this topic,why because most people don't respect their tradition especially when it comes to Medicine,between modern and local medicine.
Because you learn something about modern medicine does not mean you should no longer accept the customs and ways of healing of your people.Too often the human
touch in the art of healing is lost when medical science moves in.this is too bad because...
if you can use what is best in modern medicine,together with what is best in traditional healing,the combination may be be better than either one alone
in this way,you will be contributing to it but not taking away.
Yes,if you notice that some of the home cures are harmful[for example,putting excrement on the freshy cut cord of a newborn baby].you will want to change this.
but do so with respect for those who believes in that. don't tell them is wrong,Try to help them understand WHY they should do something different.
modern medicine does not always have the answers.it has helped solve some problems,yet has led to other, something even bigger ones,people quickly come to depend too much on modern medicine and it's expect,
to overuse medicine, and to forget how to care for themselves and each other.
So go slow -and always keep a deep respect for your people,their traditions,and their human dignity.again help them build on knowledge and skills they already have.
