Floating In Total Peace
Imagine yourself in total darkness, floating without weight, you don't hear anything, there is no pressure.
There is just YOU. Your thoughts, your inner feelings.
You loose the sense of time when you wander off on your own path. Nothing is pulling you back or down, no gravity is locking you to the ground. It is just you with your own mind.
Precious.
So precious in this age of constant harassment of your senses.
You might have guessed that I am describing flotation. I've just returned home from my first session. It was great and I want to have another session as soon as possible.
It lasted for a good hour but it sure felt like, I don't know, ten minutes. During the floating my thoughts were wandering and I couldn't finish the sentences my mind was trying to form. It was no use trying to lock my thoughts on anything.
A beautiful experience and I was sad when it ended.
It is a luxury to be able to spend some time with yourself and literally nothing else.
After the session, when I was driving home, I chose not to switch on the radio. I wanted to enjoy the silence some more.
Now, the mundane mechanism of every day's chores is slowly eating at this inner peace.
Well, there will be another session of flotation, I am telling to myself.
I won't go into the theory of isolation and the benefits of it. I suggest that you try it for yourself. It is a great experience.
Take care!
Better and better!

Congrats! Sounds like an amazing experience. Can I ask you what is the cost of one session?
Yes, it is.
At the center that I've been they have a season special - 23 € for one hour. Regular price is 47 € which is a bit too much :)
I am toying with and idea to have the tank at home. After the initial purchase the salt could be the biggest expense. You need at least 400 kilos of Epsom salt for the tank. I don't know for how many sessions this lasts.

Home version could be affordable :)
Thanks for the info, price is a bit too much ATM, but the special is ok. As for having one at home, well, if you have a big enough house, I think it's worth :)
Yes, exactly.
But ... if you consider that one hour price for various therapies is at least 40 € ... then the price is there about.
I don't have a house with a spare room for a tank. I will consider it when I will be planning for the house. An extra room for flotation tank and a small sauna :)
I've never seen such a thing. Whoa. I sauna alot in a one person unit but this is in another level. Do you get claustrophobic at all in there? I might.
Yes, this is completely different story. It was at first devised as a sense deprivation unit for scientific research.
Well, claustrophobia could be a problem :)
But no, not really. There is a panic button inside the tank and you can always break the procedure and open the box.
Upvoted and resteemed!!!!
Thank you very much!
