IT'S HAPPENING
So I stayed jobless for over two years after completing my degree and graduating with a second class honors. I was super excited over the fact that I would finally be out there in a reputable organization working and making the money I always dreamed of. Sad to say, the exact opposite happened. The hours spent on online job sites pitching for jobs, printing CVs and dropping them off at the receptions of organizations, talking to friends who seemed to have great connections to the companies I desired to work for, all the tarmacking up and down, doing additional courses to boost my academic portfolio all ended up earning me the title, "Jobless." and I was frustrated and I gave up.
No money, no growth, very stressed, feeling wasted, I bumped into online jobs like transcription and article writing and I realized wow there's actually so much work that can be done at the comfort of your home and you can make so much money. So I have a mind shift. Instead of rushing up and down knocking office doors and getting disappointed every time, why not sign up to these wonderful online sites, start working for the many clients who post jobs there and make decent money and earn a great living out of it?
It's been three months now since I started working online and so far I've made a lot out of it, paid my bills, and even ventured into investing. Now I've joined Steemit and I can only imagine the possibilities here of growing and scaling heights and getting to where I've always wanted to go. This is a life changing platform not only for me but for millions of people online.
It's happening. The dreams that seemed never to actualize two years ago are now beginning to become a reality.
For you, my advice is, have a mind shift, discover new things. If one thing doesn't work, try out another. Never be afraid to experiment, never shy away from taking worthwhile risks, keep trying, keep learning, keep growing and when you finally make something out of it, teach someone else the trade.
When you light someone's candle with yours, yours doesn't get darker, you actually add more light to the room.
It's happening. It's real.
