RE: 5 Bicycles, 5 Kids, 1 Mom, 1 Dog, 1 Cat on a Walk in Panama Pictures - Fun Friday by A Panama Mama

in #life7 years ago (edited)

We had a cat once who would go for walks with us. Strangest thing I'd seen in a while. I wondered if she were afraid we were moving to a new place and trying to leave her behind. Eventually we stopped letting her go outside when we brought all our pets indoors. Too many predators where we live, even in the daytime -- and I get too upset when we lose one of them, even to natural causes. It just wasn't worth the stress to tempt fate, even though they loved being outside, lying in the sun, chasing butterflies, etc.

Yeah I can understand being upset about losing a pet and daytime predators. We had chickens once in Texas and a pack of coyotes came through in the middle of the day and took a bunch of ours out. They must have been hungry to come out in the day like that! We also had owls and hawks that attacked them at night. And snakes! We had an indoor Siamese cat in Texas though. :) Here we have 2 cats and they are both indoor/outdoor. They sure are crazy! Thanks for the comment! Have a great day!
