Curiosity - not a defect?

Some people have a passion - to know everything about everyone. And do not ask, namely sniffing quietly, peeping, eavesdropping and making their own conclusions.

Worked with us is one woman, already quite elderly, of retirement age. She was a good person, albeit with some oddities-unsociable, withdrawn, always alone. About her personal life, I know little, like, actually, the rest of the workers, although worked with her for some years. But her family, of course, was. And then comes a sad day, - this woman dies.

He was buried, remembered, it was time to take another person in her place, which means to free the table that had died from her papers and other things. Among these things, a large book was discovered, a ledger such. They opened it, maybe there's something right there. And there…

There's a file on all-all-all who worked with her all the years. Not only official information about work and marital status, but also where to go after work, what kind of relationship in the family and at work, with whom and against whom "friends". Apparently, she was not too lazy to stand in the evenings, to peek out who does what, etc. And there were several such ledgers, - she led them for many years.

And it's not only information, it would be okay, but also her opinions about everyone with whom she worked for many years. By the way, there is nothing good about anyone ... A nice old woman, a quiet mouse, but sat and for years accumulated poison, looking for negative features in the characters and behavior of everyone.

And you will not ask now - why? (she did not need this at all for work). Why did she do all this? Why did she occupy her private time with such an unseemly affair?

We burned these ledgers, of course. Some read about themselves - and were upset. I did not read. I know everything about myself.
