When does knowledge cross the line

Previously, when a country wanted to asset its dominance over another country, it required physical presence in that country it wished to dominate. Nowadays, with the help of computers and the internet, everything is almost possible with just a string of codes.

When the computer was invented, the inventors probably didn't invent it for some of the purposes for which it is being used for nowadays. It all starts with a curiosity such as how to access and control another person's computer to actually manipulating a whole system.

Edward Snowden, the known whistle blower, who exposed a lot of operations being carried out by the American government around the world, especially on its own citizens, made us all reevaluate on stance on the need to draw a line when learning.

There was a time when wars were fought with stones, sticks, spears and swords. Then came the invention of guns and canons, after which we had the nuclear era. We now have biological and chemical warfare where biological alterations and chemical substances are considered as an option for war.

I watched a video where the doctor who was credited as the discoverer of the human immunodeficiency virus was heard saying the virus was a product of biochemical alterations to curb overpopulation. Now, I guess someone already beat Thanos to the job...lol

Man has a natural curiosity towards everything and this sometimes lead man astray in a quest for knowledge.
Someone once told me that Einstein was quoted as saying "I don't know what weapons will be used for world war 3 but world war 4 will be fought with sticks and stone."

Take a minute and ponder on the implication of such a statement.
In the crypto space, billions of dollars have been lost due to hacks. Crazy to think with a series of codes, a person somewhere can become poor.

Still the same knowledge which has risks associated with it also has its own good side. It has changed thw course of human history.
Knowledge is good, but when seeking knowledge, we should apply ethics and human compassion.
