Penultimate GX200 Powered Flying Machine (Eggmotor)

Please check out my Hi, I'm the EggMeister and I too have been 'brought to a rolling boil' post first in order to get an insight to this current post if you are new to my channel.

In an earlier post I had mentioned how I was getting a small global following. Indeed, through a couple of social media channels (YouTube and the dedicated Yahoo forum initially) I was being made aware of like-minded pilots who were building their own 'Eggs' based on the knowledge and experience I had gained and shared. I always felt a sense of pride and accomplishment when I heard of these similar project from a round the planet. This attention was picked up Bailey Aviation (a commercial UK based paramotor manufacturer) who wished to develop and sell bespoke kits for the engine and also by a magazine editor back in 2011, who wished to feature the Eggmotor project in the following month's issue (issue No. 24, Apr-May 2011). After I emailed him a few photos and conducted a telephone interview, I eagerly awaited the new issue. [see below] I must add that the main image in the magazine article wasn't supplied by me but from a fellow builder constructing a larger version.

The Bailey Aviation kits pointed towards a new direction that I was heading to but unfortunately, as funds were very limited, this latest and most polished version of the Eggmotor (despite my love and adoration for it) was about to be sacrificed in order to proceed down this new path. So here are a few images of this machine taken only a few weeks before it's demise. I don't have any really good footage of this last direct-drive incarnation of the Eggmotor but I will provide this link as a farewell to it. [you might want the skip first 90 seconds as I had fun adjusting the choke to get it to start and also the short flight doesn't then take place until after the 6 minute mark due to very light wind conditions]
