THOUGHT FARMERS
Have you ever seen a plot of agricultural land that has not been maintained for a long time? What happened ? Right, the land is no longer a plot of agricultural land that contains beneficial plants. The plot of land quickly turned into fertile land for the growth of wild plants that were fighting over each other to grow and fill every inch of land.
Without us knowing it, that's the condition of our subconscious mind. It really resembles a plot of fertile soil for any growing place that grows on it. A researcher named Deepak Chopra
once researched and said that humans do one-day self-talk as much as 55,000 - 65,000 times.
Self talk or communication to yourself is not a conscious conversation with yourself. It happens more often without us knowing it. It can be in the form of visual images, it can be in the form of ideas, it can be in the form of speech in the heart, it can be in the form of murmurs in the mind and so on. The bad news is 77% of the self-talk contents are negative thoughts.
Negative self talk is like a wild plant, we don't need it even though it will grow by itself. It is as if it is already available in the ground and ready to grow at any time when we do not care and do not take care of a plot of agricultural land.
That is the subconscious mind is like a fertile empty land, whatever we plant on it will grow fertile and will produce fruit once. But on the other hand when we do not care for and plant anything above it will be overgrown and controlled by wild plants fertile too.
The good news is that we have a conscious mind. Our conscious mind is like farmers who choose what plants will be planted on the fertile land. If we consciously choose useful plant seeds in the form of positive thoughts, they will thrive into a mind tree and will produce fruit in the form of positive reality. On the contrary, when we do not plant anything, the bushes will grow rapidly and cover the entire surface of the land into a negative mind tree and will also produce negative reality for us.
That's how our minds work. We have a subconscious mind that applies like a very fertile vacant land. We also have a conscious mind that applies like a farmer who is entrusted with the task of guarding and maintaining the subconscious mind. Now we understand that our conscious mind is the farmer. When we understand, it is only now that we decide and choose what plants we will seed in our subconscious mind.
I certainly don't know what plants you will choose for your planting and maintenance, but I believe you know the best for yourself.
