$ 2.2 MILLION....KOI..JUST A FISH?

From humble beginnings, koi has become the most precious of all fish, the finest examples of sales up to $ 2.2 million.
This old, beautiful, and long-lived fish continues to fascinate and intrigue. Millions of dollars are spent each year on some of the best Koi specimens, and a lot of extra money spent on the most common types.

According to Richard Tan, Singapore Koi Club president and chairman of the organizing committee of the first Asia Cup Koi Show in May of 2008, the most expensive ever sold non-Japanese koi companies in the 1980s increase of about 50 million to 100,000,000 yen each, or $ 500,000 at $ 1,000,000.
