Our history Changing Lifes and Bringing Wellfare to the street

in #life6 years ago

Each rescue is different, each rescue leaves a learning, each rescue CHANGES a life...

Our life takes place in San Juan de los Morros, Guárico; Venezuela, we do not have a headquarters but we have been fortunate enough to be lent a house, quite deteriorated by the way, but that has some still habitable spaces in which we can keep the animals that we've rescued and that still continue with us.

Our motto: let's talk less, ACT MORE, AND BE ALL PART OF THE SOLUTION.

In this work SAVING a life depends on actions, not opinions.

Our Mission: To provide welfare to the animals in street condition of our city and in this way to prevent more animals from being born uncontrollably in our streets.

Throughout our 10 years of activity there have been several rescues that we have made, many of those rescues have been locate it in responsible homes, but 31 of those rescues (22 cats and 9 dogs) are still with us.

Unfortunately, the crisis in our country has affected us in many ways: firstly, the number of volunteers who shared day by day with us and our animals has diminished considerably, some people have left the country, others claim that they don't have time anymore, others just don't want more responsibilities so only two of us keep kicking the streets...

Collaborations on the other hand is what affects us the most, we don't have state resources, we've never received state support, our protected and rescued animals eat and are medically treated, when needed, thanks to donations from third people; unfortunately, there are also many collaborators who have left the country and others just stopped helping us because they claim that their priority is to guarantee the food of their family. The serious thing for us is that if we don't receive financial support we won't have money to buy the food of our protected and rescued animals and, consequently, we can't bring them their daily food nor pay at the time of a veterinary emergency.

All this daily work of "kicking the street" we complement it creating awareness mainly with the example: WE ACT; and we also organize monthly, with the support of an excellent veterinarian, sterilization and castration with talks in which not only are sterilized animals with owners but also animals that are still in streets, we also organize days of animal health and vaccination, these last two, however, due to the Venezuelan situation of scarcity and high costs of medical supplies, it has become impossible for us to do them again.

I hope you like this post in which I try to summarize the work we do every day for them and to them...

If you want to follow more of our daily sharing with our babies and support us, either with diffusion or financially, here I leave our addresses on social networks.
