I like that Burning man was mentioned last (still in the list, but showcases lesser known but similar'ish festivals. I think the 'Transformational' power of these festivals is both a modern phenomena and a rekindling of our ancient need to connect with each other, disconnect from the limitations of our mainstream culture (if only for a little while) and to return reborn with new clarity, restored energy and renewed faith in life and humanity as a whole. An important and overlooked topic that might help us to better understand the maladies facing society and how festivals like these, when used properly, can be collectively and individually healing.
