VIRGO HOROSCOPE

You worked hard in June, so it is time to treat yourself to days of fun, romance, sports, and relaxation in July. As you begin the month, Mars, the energy-action planet, will be moving through your eleventh house of hopes and wishes until July 20. This month, as the song goes, Virgos just want have fun. This is unusual for you, for you are the hardest worker of the zodiac and the one most ambitious sign that is most bent on seeing productivity. You won’t lose any career momentum you built up in recent months. Actually, your stars reveal that taking time for yourself will make you twice as productive when you return to work.

If you are single, the person you love or whom you are dating will be the full focus of your thinking at the full moon in Capricorn 17 degrees on July 8. Pluto is conjunct the moon, so you will be quite sure of your feelings and ready to make a decision to stay and help to grow the relationship or to leave. Full moons help us make final decisions so that we can progress forward rather than remain in limbo, and with Pluto in Capricorn you will feel strong and good about your decision. Mars will be conjunct the Sun, so that means you will be motivated and ready to state how you feel. You may get ready to live with your romantic partner, or if dating a short time, promise to be exclusive to each other, as two examples. If you feel the two of you are not right for each other, you will part. If you are in an established, committed relationship and want to start a family or add a new child to your family, it’s very likely the topic of baby will come up now, and it is the right time to do so. All full moons have an area of influence of plus or minus four days, so in terms of this one, the first half of July will find you centered on enriching your emotional life.

There is another way this full moon July 8 can work out, and it would be in a completely different from the way I just described. If you are working on a creative project that you have invested a great deal of time, money, and attention to – one that you want dearly to work out well – this full moon will bring that project to a conclusion, with kudos for work well done. I feel you will be proud of that you achieve, so it seems likely that you will have reason to celebrate.

If your birthday falls on September 9, plus or minus four days, you will notice this full moon more than other Virgos born at other points of their sign. The same is true if you have Virgo rising at 17 degrees, have a natal moon at that degree, or have a natal planet in Capricorn, Taurus, or Virgo, Cancer, Scorpio, or Pisces at 17 degrees, and in all cases, plus or minus four degrees.

You’ll have a superb day on July 14, when your ruling planet, Mercury – the planet charged with taking good care of you, and all your interests – will be in perfect sync with Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck. This will be the day to start off on a trip (or return from one), sign a contract, have an interview, launch a new product or service, make a presentation, appear on a panel, give a speech, hand in your manuscript, see your book be published, unveil your new app, or sign the work order to have the team start work on one. You may show off your new blog or website too, and it would likely be well received. Mercury is the natural ruler of your solar tenth house of prestigious career fame and honors, so no matter what you do, this should be a terrific day in your timeline. Accept a new position or start on this day, if you like, for the outlook for your tenure there would likely to be quite extraordinary.

One not-so-good-day will be July 17 when Mars and Uranus will be at odds and possibly create a financial loss for you. Make sure you take note of all your treasures – your iPhone, tablet, computer, sunglasses, eyeglasses – all the things you carry around every day that you would be crushed to lose. You need to keep track of those items so you don’t leave one in a public conveyance. Don’t sign papers on this day, nor promise your financial participation in just about anything on this day, not unless your financial advisor does not agree with me!

Clearly your career is doing well, for Venus will remain in your tenth house of career from July 4 to July 30. During that time, VIPs will look kindly on you, and remarkably, at the same time, subordinates will vie to work for you so that they can learn from you.

On July 18, when Mercury and Jupiter align, your financial picture could improve dramatically. You may make a big sale, get news of a raise, and if self-employed, bring in a new, lucrative client.
One of the big standout days of the month will be July 18, when transiting Venus in Gemini will light your tenth house of fame and honors, and be contacted by Jupiter, bearer of good fortune, from your solar second house of income. On this day, you may make a big sale, get news of a raise, and if self-employed, you might bring in a new, lucrative client. It’s a superb day for you to generate business or to discuss your future with your boss.

You will have another stellar day, July 30, when Venus and Uranus will work together on your behalf. This day falls over a weekend, so assuming you don’t work on a weekend, you may feel the effects on the proceeding Friday or following Monday, July 31. (I have had the experience of hearing good news over a weekend even though it’s not a traditional work day. Keep watching your email, texts, and phone calls. It looks like your reputation will earn you a prestigious new assignment or position, along with a sum of money – in terms of a fee, bonus, commission, or royalty that will be given to you. See how things work out.

Once you get to July 20, a very different trend will emerge. Mars will move into Leo and light your solar twelfth house, the house of privacy and seclusion, until September 5. During this period, you may want to attend to a health concern – your mind, body, or spirit – and it would be a good time to do so.

Only three days later, the new moon will arrive on July 23, to be strong for two weeks and underscore the importance of the trend to take good care of yourself, a trend started by Mars and boosted further by the new moon June 23. Use the time after the new moon to see your doctor or dentist, or to get psychological help. You can go for rehab, get physical therapy, have a medical or dental procedure, or to schedule surgery. According to news reports, many people suffer from prescription or other drug dependency, so this would be an ideal time to reach out for help, with the expectation for fine results.

There’s more reason to take this new moon’s focus on health, particularly mental health, seriously. The next new moon will be also in Leo, which is unusual – two in a row. Normally we have one new moon a month, in each of the 12 months, falling in a different sign each month. This time, another new moon in Leo will arrive on August 21, which just happens to be a big, powerful new moon solar eclipse. We get approximately four eclipses in a year, so next month, in August, we will get two eclipses, on August 7 and August 21 (the first on a full moon the second, one on a full moon). You will see me discussing the importance of addressing health concerns next month, for both eclipses will bring home the message that it’s time to take tender good care of yourself. It is rare to have Mars and two new moons sending the same message, but you will have it starting this month. All signs will all feel this emphasis on Leo, but in different ways. If your health is fine, you may opt to work on a project that requires a great deal of concentration. Happy to be alone, in your office, lab, or other place of work, you can get a great deal done. You will be at your best when in an environment away from others in late July and throughout August.

Keep in mind that Mercury will be retrograde next month from August 12 to September 5, but this time, this phase may suit you quite well. You might have time to go back to a former project that you loved that you had to put aside because the timing was off – now it might be right for any number of reasons.

Romantically, Venus will enter Cancer on July 31. Cancer is a zodiac sign with a great deal of emotional depth and compassion that blends beautifully with your Virgo Sun, paving the way for a highly romantic August. In the meantime, July 9 might turn out to be a landmark moment for your love life. No matter what happens, you will benefit, dear Virgo!

SUMMARY
The first three weeks of July will be yours to play. Mars, the planet that brings focus and energy, is still in Cancer, a sweet spot for you, and will remain there until July 20. Mars AND the Sun are lighting your eleventh house of fun and friends, and the possibility of meeting new people and attending events should make for a busy social season for you. Be open to making a new friend – one new friend can open you up to a new view of life and many new interests. Be excited – this is your time to shine. As a Virgo, you are very conscientious and always eager to get your work projects finished to perfection, but the universe wants you to rest and unwind, so you will need to push back from your desk and your computer for a while – being refreshed will help your work.

When Mars enters Leo for the first time in two years on July 20, to September 5, you will almost instantly need to jump on your skateboard and begin to move at the speed of light. This level of intensity will continue for nearly six weeks. Once you treat yourself to time away from your work, it usually takes you a week for more to completely unwind and let go of everyday cares. All indications are that you will accomplish that feat. July or August would be an ideal time to take a relaxing vacation. A frenetic trip would not be in sync with the rhythm of your life, so take it easy.

Love will capture your imagination at the lovely full moon, July 8, a weekend when all you can think about will be a relationship. True love can inspire, energize, and rejuvenate you, and it seems that if you have been dating a person seriously, at this tender full moon, you will feel all these emotions and more strongly. Pluto, the great transformer, will travel arm-in-arm with the full moon in Capricorn, adding strength and confidence concerning any step you might decide to take at this time. No matter what happens, you will benefit. If you feel you and your partner are not right for each other, then part, for you can find someone new who will be better suited to you. If you are in love, then make plans to grow closer, in any way you feel comfortable doing. This full moon might also bring a discussion about a pregnancy or a discussion of how to delight a child you have now.

Mercury, your ruler, will be unusually active in July. One of your best days will be July 14, when travel and communication planet Mercury and good fortune Jupiter will be in sync. You may enjoy a long weekend away, July 14-16, a perfect time to go.

July 19, Mercury will team up with Saturn in friendly way, giving longevity to any venture you begin on this day. If you make a victory on this day, it will have “legs” to take you to new places in your career. It’s a good day to sign papers on July 19, as is July 14 for signing as well. In astrology, a verbal agreement is considered the same as a written one.

June was a big month for decisions and possible good news, and July keeps career events moving forward in your favor. Venus will be in Gemini from July 4 to 30 and touring your tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement. Venus will make you popular with both VIPs and subordinates alike. Your work will get fine reviews this month, so be brave an offer your best ideas with conviction. The time near the full moon, July 8, will be an especially powerful day – your creativity will be very evident, and likely applauded by VIPs whose support you need to get your idea funded and given the green light to begin.

The month will end with a whisper. You clearly will want time away from your usual routine after the new moon appears, July 23. You will likely crave sunshine and fresh air, so think about heading to a secluded beach with the person you love, or if you are not attached, with a friend. Be away from city noise – you need to hear nothing but the sound of crashing waves against the shore, an occasional sea gull singing his song overhead, or the crackle of a fire you might build on the beach after sundown. If you go to an island like Nantucket, you might hear an old foghorn in the stillness of early morning. Your need to remove yourself from the madding crowd will be very strong in July and August, especially near the new moon in Leo July 23 and the coming solar eclipse in Leo, August 21. Reward yourself with the gift of quietude.
