Have you thought about forgiveness these days?

in #life7 years ago (edited)

All you can see and hear these days is about the love.

Christmas is time of love and peace, so we should spend time with those who we love and "love" is every third word you can hear or read everywhere around!

But what with those people who hurt you, offended you and you have bad feeling about that person?

That feeling is something like desire for revenge or punishment. Same feeling can eat you from the inside. If you let that feeling go, you will feel relieved. And that would probably be a bigger step to do in the time of Christmas than just spending the time with your loved ones. These lights all around are confusing.

We all have some sort of enemies.

They are people who were our friends, or just involved in some bad situations with us and all resulted with strong disagreement. Well, in most cases, they were our friends once. And he did what he did, but you can't find a way to forgive him. Anger starts to manipulate your mind. This all situation makes you a bitter person, it can cause stress and mental - related deceases. Don't let the things from past to direct your path in future.

Walking backwards will never take you where you want.

So, now it's the time to move on! Take a deep breath and let this "lately promoted love" around you to take you over and in that spirit, just say that you forgive that person.

Be aware that you are not doing this for that person, you are doing it for yourself.

And it is much easier to live without any hate in your heart. You don't need to meet that person ever again in your life. But be clear with yourself that you gave a forgiveness. So, when you see that person next time, you won't act with hate and anger.

You let bad feelings go, so it is time to move forward.

When you live without hate and anger, it is much easier to make new friends. And sometimes, some enemies can turn to friends. But still, be careful with people, if you forgave someone, it doesn't mean that you are best friends, now, immediately.

Forgive, but never forget...

Great post. Forgiveness is a huge deal. There is one person I had a huge fight with this past year. I have forgiven him, but have not come forward to tell him that yet. I am not sure how he will respond. But I will let him know sooner than later.

It would be nice to let him know that, but it's not necessary, the point is that you made peace with yourself. thank you @countryinspired for this nice comment
