CAN WE LIVE WITHOUT PLANT?

Am happy to welcome you to my blog once again. On this day, am writing about plant and the need for us to plant more of them.
Oxygen is one the basic things needed by man to survive on planet earth. This basic and important need is found in abundance in earth thanks to the presence and work of one of our least appreciated friend – plant.
Though Man and plant entered into a perpetual symbiotic relationship long ago but I think man is gaining more from plant than the reverse.
The photosynthetic process which takes place before a plant will generate oxygen for us is not an easy task, yet our good friend - plant keep working tirelessly to provide us with the needed quantity of oxygen.
Yes, it is true that man generates carbon-monoxide as his contribution in the time immemorial relationship with plant. But the carbon-monoxide we give in exchange is a waste product which is equally harmful if we did not dispose them from our body systems.
It is equally true that the all-important oxygen we get from our friend (plant) is also a waste product, hence some people will say that the equation is balanced but it is certainly not true because plant did not stop at giving us only oxygen but went further to provide major parts of our foods and even shelter needs.
Certainly both plant and man needs each other for survival but according the biblical story of creation, plants were created on the third day (Gen.1:11) before man was made on the sixth day (Gen. 1:27) which clearly shows that plants can survive without man, while the reverse is not possible.
Due to mans’ advancement in science and technology, this our friend –plant has become more victim than the partner it ought to be in this symbiotic relationship. Man cuts and destroys plants recklessly whenever he thinks he want to carry out any project without making effort to replace them, and this has caused a lot of calamities ranging from desertification to food insecurity to man.
Have you thought of what will likely happen if this our harmless friend goes into extinct?
This is a call for us to individually and collectively better our world today and future by planting more plants as its worthwhile to do so.

Desertification is a serious threat to all lifeforms, planting trees and reintroducing native plants in our environment is not on top of most governments and people's priority list, but it should be... Because the deserts will keep growing more and more if we do nothing. Africa is often overlooked by the world, but it is the continent most affected by desertification. Thank you for raising awareness by posting on this subject .

I doubt if we can live without them. We use plants for so many things. I also agree that we should should look at their survivals and not destroy them. 👍
