Technology is evolving so quickly that many of us are barely aware of how our behavior is changing and how our most important relationships are threatened.

Relationships are harder now because conversations became texting, arguments became phone calls, feelings became subliminal messages online. Sex became easy, the word love gets used out of context, insecurities have become your way of thinking. Getting jealous became a habit, trust has been lost, cheating became an accident, leaving became the only option and being hurt became an explosion, esp when your messages are read and you dont get an immediate reply.

You’re driving down a city street and find yourself stuck behind someone going 15 mph below the speed limit. What’s your first thought? That guy needs to get off his cell phone!

Sound familiar? But if you’re like me and can remember what life was like before we all got cell phones, you may wonder if all the changes are really for the good.

We sabotage our happiness and wreak havoc with our relationships, failing to see which is more important in our life. Small, precious moments are slipping away because we’re focused on reading all of our emails, whatsapp, facebook alerts, and we get unreasonably anxious if we put our phones away even for 30 minutes.

Perhaps we should ask ourselves whether being disconnected is, after all, really that hard.

Apparently, somewhere along the way, we lost sight what real-life priorities look like. As you might expect, our mobile device obsession weakens our relationships, drives people away and disappoints and hurts others.

Just look up from your phones, shut down those displays
We have a finite existence, a set number of days
Don’t waste your life getting caught in the net
because when the end comes, nothing’s worse than regret.
