Very well drafted .i completely agree with Meditation minimizes and mitigates your bodies stresses and normalizes your body chemical response
I have practised this during my 3rd year MBBS when we were having rural posting, i was have a patient with severe depression on anti depressents but with poor compliance.i was left with option to advice her meditation & during follow up she herself realised that she was feeling better.

There is great value in the old ways Doc, just getting people back to them in a fast paced society is the difficult part.

We can't say meditation is a old way.It is a continoius process.We need not get people back to old ways in all cases but there are some cases where they are very beneficial viz people not having good compliance with modern ways as in my case.They are just like add on to modern modalities.

Doc, I call it old ways as these practices were created long ago before modern scientific medical study.... but I agree that it is and always will be a continuing study. Thanks for your input, one suggestion though is to upvote an article that you comment on... it will serve better you better going forward... as a share the wealth at no cost to you paradigm.
