The best place to point your eyes on the total solar eclipse may not be where you expect!
You could poke a hole in a box or get the glasses that will let you see it. I will be doing that as well! There are moments before and moments after where the most interesting things can be seen though! The best path to see it in the US is here.. It will be occurring Monday, August 21st
Two interesting things to look at right before and right after a solar eclipse, are long siny surfaces where it will be easier to see Shadow Bands
The most interesting thing to look at are shadows, particularly of leaves. Find a place with a lot of different kinds of shadows from leaves! Here are some examples I found on google that are labeled as free to use. Seeing it happen in real life is much better though. So if you have missed the shadows during an eclipse.. STOP!

How are you guys planning on watching it? Or where? Those of you who don't live in a good spot, will you watch it online somehow? Or DGAF?
Didn't know about the shadows. We live in the path of totality. I will be watching for those shadows. I can't wait to see the chaos of the people too... I think.
