Tired Of All Of The Protests...

in #life8 years ago (edited)

How is it that someone thinks holding up a sign or disrupting others lives works in their favor? I have trouble wrapping my head around people knowingly disrupting other peoples lives thinking it will do anything but just create anger and frustration toward them. Think about all the people that are late to work, pick up their kids from daycare, just finished a hard day at work and want nothing more but to get home, people headed to appointments or commitments, those headed to the hospital, etc. The list is very long, but all those people take second to people holding up some signs and intimidating those who question their motives. These protests are closing stores and malls and costing people time and money missing work. They have even prevented ambulances from getting to hospitals. I would fully expect if a group of my friends and I went and acted out in a public place or locked arms across a street that we would be arrested.

I was raised to come up with solutions, not complain about problems. It is the easiest thing in the world to complain about something, actually coming up with solutions where a majority of people are satisfied requires effort.

Over the last couple weeks, a local mall has been closing its gates locking patrons in and out. Then afterwards they move to the streets and cause huge traffic backups. The stores are losing money and no consequences are being doled out. People are wasting their time either going to the mall with hopes of shopping, or getting stuck in traffic manufactured by protesters.
