On Differences
No two people are exactly the same-
that is why we are called individuals, I suppose. Even with our closest family or friends, we do not have replicas. Not even identical twins are replicas of one another. We may share common traits, common customs, common values even, but wholistically speaking, we will never be exactly the same as the other.

We each have our own individuality.
We tend to build strong relationships with people we share some things in common though. We can say if we go down to the basics and we find these compatible, complimentary in some cases, then this may prove to be a good foundation of a fruitful and fulfilling relationships. By the basics I mean core values for example. Interests. Goals or visions.
Still it stays true that there will always be differences among individuals.
Our personal standards would come to play in determining what differences we are willing to embrace, and what we cannot tolerate.

This is a two-way road though. In relationship-building, both parties should make a conscious decision to embrace their individual differences for a relationship to thrive.
I for one have close friends who are as crazy as myself, but each having their own crazies in varying forms. Easy to love crazies that is.
Embracing our differences is not achieved instantly. I think there's no on/off switch for that.
Embracing differences is a journey, one that all parties should be willing to take. There may be incidents involved, drama, misunderstandings, pain even, that would test our willingness to fully accept these people close to us- both the similarities and the uniqueness.

These incidents would prove to play a big role in strenghthening the relationship.
Being different doesn't mean that one is better than the other. We are all equally the best, in our own ways. Let us embrace this difference.
Who is to say this or that is better anyways?
