I Have a Dream

2-Minute Read |

I have a dream that one day women will be able to rely upon one another as witnesses to their value, their honor, and their validity.

I have a dream that women choose to seek out and offer one another uplifting, helping hands of compassion, understanding and acknowledgment of what it means to be a mother, a daughter, a sister, or a wife.

I have a dream that each woman on this earth wakes up each day knowing it is safe, and preferred, to be seen, heard, and known by other women.

I have a dream that a woman will no longer carry on in her life feeling ashamed of her past, her lack of education due to sacrifice, or the abuse she may have endured at the hands of those who overpowered her or abused their positions of power.

I have a dream that women will no longer be afraid to speak their true stories, their true feelings, or make their dreams come true.

I have a dream that the children of our world will be mothered and protected by women who are powerful enough to end wars and create societies in which they are absolutely safe to live open and free lives.

I have a dream that women will choose to treat one another with dignity, respect, and benevolence without fear.

I have a dream that the world will see the day in which girl and boy children are all safe from abuse of any kind — from others or between one another.

I have a dream that the men of our world will realize that they are better in a world of compassionate and powerful women and that they would allow themselves to be respected by behaving respectably, honored by living honorably, protected by being protective, served by being of service, and cherished by becoming a cherisher.
