Wow. Im totally shocked after watching this video. If this happens in the USA im pretty sure the situation is the same in the other countries that they opperate. Billion dollar business that doesnt look after its employees oh i mean 'private contractors'. Shame on them. No wonder why more and more people are looking for other methods such as cryptocurrency to get out of the rat race. Steemit all the way!!
It is a simple supply and demand function. There are so many willing drivers that are out there working for this terrible wage, it is not Ubers fault that people accept this wage. Low skill jobs receiving low pay, not overly shocking
This is absolutely true! When uber first started, it was very attractive, the money was good as more people started taking uber as opposed to taxis, but as uber increased the number of drivers, there is no cap for drivers since uber does not want riders to wait long for their rides, which is absolutely great for riders. But for drivers, it reduces their pay significantly, yet uber percentage of the fare still remains the same and actually increases as the number of drivers increase. My husband drives with uber. A year ago, he made enough to pay lease for his car as well as mine. Today he can not even make his lease!!! It is absolutely a waste of time and energy. He is better off packing shelves at walmart!! Patnering with Uber as a driver completely sucks !!!
Wow. I'm sorry to hear how the tables have turned for your husband. Is he 'stuck' with one of the loans they mentioned in the video? What a terrible lending scheme.

Had no idea. Great share. This is not the way they portray the Uber life. I know a lot of people who love to use it. But not a driver that brags about it. Thanks for the post.
That is exactly what I thought @windrockswater. Users love uber but there is a totally different side that we don't see.
Eventually Uber will roll out the driverless cars and this won't be a problem anymore.
That is a good point. I'm not sure I'd like to be a passenger in a driverless car though. 😐
