I should note that some remittances may be tough to post here as I am not sure how I can legally transfer so he can receive in Cuba, but I believe Western Union works... bitcoin obviously doesn't since no one in Cuba has access to the internet.
The Malecon just received a HUGE internet upgrade in Cuba.
And there's lots of folks in cuba that have access to the internet, just locals are restricted unless they are in college.
Tourists and visitors aren't under the same restrictions.
Ya know @alechahn has a spare bitcoin ATM sitting in TJ Mexico perhaps we should try to get it installed either in Cuba or down in Cancun near the cuban ferry boats. Need someone near there to service it though.
If you're serious about getting him from Cuba to Mexico legally all he needs is a job offer and he can get workers visa. I have business contacts if you want me to hook you up with them.

They are starting to get access. I was there in 2015, they were just rolling out the first public wifi spots. However, still too tightly censored and not enough adoption by the people. There is a black (free) market developing where they are actually trading in uncensored internet access.
